June in the South

Well, it's June, and we're just a-meltin' right now! Looks like it's hot all over the country.

Our neighbor had some surgery last week, and we're watching after her while she rests and recovers. Yesterday was a tough day, but she's definitely feeling better today, either than a very ugly migraine headache. They sure pumped a lot of meds into her during the surgery; they gave us a copy sheet in case she needed to go to the emergency room for any reason, and we were amazed at what was put into her. No wonder she has a headache!

Tar bits are still washing up on the shores, many of the motels are nearly empty along the Gulf coast. This could be a very difficult summer for many small businesses, many who hang on for these summer months to make the money to last all year might find it tough this year. One can only wonder how many will last, but then, we wonder and worry about how long the gusher will last.

Hope the Big Guy upstairs is watching out for us; we will need his help.

Tears of Tar

Well, there are tarballs on the beautiful beaches of Fort Walton Beach, Pensacola Beach, and Santa Rosa Island, all in Florida. I imagine these dreadful reminders of a tragic Gulf explosion will take years to remove, and maybe, forever create terrible damage on the fragile wetlands of Louisiana.

With the grace of God, may these sights repair quickly. Everybody is praying that the Gulf remain free of hurricanes while these thousands of gallons of oil float around. Maybe nature will eventually help dissipate this mess with time.

Whatever happens, it will be a very tricky, and a very delicate trip for all of us. Florida depends so much upon tourism, and things are so tight right now as it is. We all hate to see tourism suffer, and the fishing industry will be crippled. The Gulf waters supply 75% of the nation's supply of shrimp! Can't imagine going without shrimp for very long. And, it's so easy to have a wonderful fresh fish meal in this area; our chefs thrive on providing us with great fish meals at nice, moderate prices. Families that have fished for generations are going to suffer very much from this tragedy.

Website that should infuriate us

The enclosed link does only one thing: Monitor illegal entry into our country.

Regardless of how we all feel about who's here and what to do with them, the fact remains that this is happening on a daily basis; every hour, minute and second.

We must push our officials to get up off their butts and establish some control on our borders! Regardless of voter content/discontent, voter joy/anger, overseas condemnation/praise, we need to have control of our own borders! No country around the world allows such flagrant abuse of border laws. Why are we supposed to stand around and say nothing? If people want to work, establish a work entry program. As a nation that put men on the moon, this does not seem to be an impossible task!

There can be no denial that this continuous trail of moving humans contains more than work-seekers trying to find a better life! There's been evidence found: Korans and Muslim prayer rugs abandoned in the desert. It's well known in the intelligence field that jihadists are given instructions how to go to Central America, work up the peninsula, learn Spanish and then cross the border. They certainly don't come to America make friends with all of us freedom-enjoying Americans!

As in any situation, one must ask: "Who's in control?" In this case, we can all sadly see that it ain't us...

Maybe we can begin to change this before it's too late.

Conflict

Things within my country seem so conflicted; more so than any other time I can remember. Such ugliness between those those for and those against: (take your pick!) There's so many subjects to follow that choice of pro and con; drilling/not drilling in ANWR, drilling/not drilling in Gulf, illegals in the country, closing/not closing the borders, national health insurance, accusations of racism. In addition, there the discussion of too many/not enough guns, how to handle the drugs, dealers and addicts. No matter what the subject, there's such angry, ugly exchanges.

How sad.

Do we have to have a repeat of 9-11 in order for us to think of America as a united country once more? I certainly hope not.

I'm proud of my country, and am saddened to look at the headlines nowadays. Also, I don't see much improvement in the future. The size of our National Debt does not bode well for the future. The idea that we can ever overcome this crippling amount of indebtedness seems impossible.

However, I still look forward to the beauty I see each and every day. I Bless my family, thank God for my good health, and pray for peace within my country.

The Climate is still fine

Well, well, well. Somebody is finally admitting that false data creating a false cause does not necessarily make it so! I'd finally quit trying to bring up facts, just saying casually that it's false science, but I have some friends who are so sure that we're killing the world!

All in all, I wonder how much money has been wasted on this false science? What type of projects have been funded by the public taxpayer to further evolve this false science? Why is it that when something like this happens, it's always shrugged away with a "well, at least we know the truth now" with no consequences for the falsifiers?

Does anybody else know that the year AlGore won his (unfortunately not false) Nobel Peace Prize, he won over a courageous woman, a nurse who smuggled real, live babies and small children (Jewish) out of the Warsaw Ghetto for years? That she was caught and tortured? That she buried the children's identification in jars in her back yard and when the war was over, she tried her best to trace down some 2,500 babies, and was able to do so, but that there was no families left to return the children to? Do we remember that her female caretaker was one of the babies that she rescued? That she was honored to be thought of as a brave nurse, because she was just doing what she felt she had to do?

And, also, that she died the year after AlGore presented a slide show full of false information that won him the Peace Prize that surely, in God's eyes, she certainly deserved?

Well, the name of this brave woman was Irina Sendler. Let us celebrate such lives! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irena_Sendler)

Thanksgiving Blessings to Us All?

As we head towards Thanksgiving, my heart goes out to the three excellent Navy Seal members who are now being brought up on charges because one of their captures ended up with a boo-boo on his lip. The liberal media should get real "wee-wee-d up" about this poor piece of humanity, who was in charge of murdering Blackwater civilian workers. Amazing how things turn out.

Guess the military guys insisted upon a court martial instead of accepting a reprimand to be put into their military jacks. Good for them but hope it will work out. Good that they called the bluff upon the idiots who are striving to make our military cops. If they need cops out there, they should hire them and put them in charge. Our military do what needs to be done. And in this case, it's too bad that they just didn't kill the rotten piece of humanity instead of trying to do the best thing!

Wonder if this is going to end up standard operating procedure?

God Bless Our Military! God Bless America

Up, Up and Away

Well, the venture into foreign territory has begun because I have created a blog identity, something I never thought I'd bother with! It's amazing how time can change a lady's mind.

Thanksgiving is next week. During this Thanksgiving time, I ask us all to remember our troops serving us overseas and within our country. Bless them one and all.

They are all remarkable people, and I'm sure we will preserve our "diversity" within the Armed Forces even as we go through the murder charges that the Ft. Hood terrorist decided to inflict upon our uniformed men and women. We don't need a Congressional Committee to tell us whether or not he's a terrorist or just a very conflicted, mentally ill mental doctor!
